SRRU Length:  ~ 125 Miles

Location:  Dale, Geneva and Houston Counties AL; Holmes, Walton and Washington Counties FL.

Priority Species: 

Fish:  Gulf Sturgeon, Alabama Shad.

Mussels:  Rayed Creekshell, Choctaw Bean, Fuzzy Pigtoe, Florida Floater (H).

Reptiles and Amphibians:   Barbour's Map Turtle.

(H) = Historic (species historically occurred in the SHU or SRRU but, it has either not been collected in a number of years, and may be considered extirpated, or the species could be present but there aren’t recent records to document its presence).

Critical Habitat:  Gulf Sturgeon, Choctaw Bean, Fuzzy Pigtoe, Tapered Pigtoe, Southern Sandshell, Southern Kidneyshell.
